Holidays in the Rocky Mountains
The month of December has always meant holiday decorations at my house — both in and out.
We support using fresh plants in your house like Poinsettias, forced bulbs and fresh cut evergreen arrangements, both inside and on your door. It really brings in the scents of the Rockies and gives you a little "spring" early. We don't take a stand on live or artificial trees indoors — we think they're both good!
This is the time of year to think about lighting in your landscape, and not just holiday lights. If you don't have a professional landscape lighting system in your home, you should! For just a small investment you can add life and color to your outdoors with uplighting, pathlighting and backwashing the architecture of your house. It gives your home a natural look at night and really brings out spectacular shadows in snow. A complete lighting system with six fixtures, transformer, photocell and timer can be under $1000.
Hope you have a great Rocky Mountain Holiday this December!
