We have been members of St. Jude for fifteen years. When their budget permitted some landscape renovations, I jumped at the chance to design an attractive, low maintenance landscape for them. Taking "before" pictures was the first step.

The architecture of the church buildings is unique and required selecting the correct plant material sizes to match and frame the building shapes, sidewalks and windows. Low maintenance river rock was fine for the parking lot medians but the coolness of cedar mulch made the landscape more inviting next to the church.

The final landscape looks great! All the hardy trees, shrubs and perennials soften the sharp lines of the buildings and concrete. It will be exciting to see the plant materials mature each year.
